About The Therapist
Karen Krautscheid is a licensed massage therapist serving Beaverton and surrounding areas with studio massage and mobile massage for private businesses. She also works in Beaverton as a chiropractic
assistant and licensed massage therapist for Integrity Chiropractic Clinic.
Some of the clients and conditions she has been fortunate enough to work with include: Cross-fit athletes, Runners, Parkinson's and Guillianne Barre patients, Hyperflexibility, Auto Accident cases, Joint Pain/Impingements for Shoulders, Hips, and Knees, Headaches, Back Pain, and General Relaxation for bodies that are just tired.
Techniques she commonly uses depending on the particular case and desires of the client are:
Positional Release Therapy, which is the opposite of stretching and painlessly releases areas of tenderness that have often been unresolved areas of complaint.
Muscle Energy Techniques involving contraction of a muscle against resistance to facilitate release of propriocepters and allow for greater ability to lengthen and relax the muscles.

Fascial Release using Cupping and other manual techniques. Silicone cups, rather than glass cups and fire are used at times to break up fascia and allow tissue layers to lay down properly again.
Swedish Massage is often incorporated with other techniques or can be used alone to allow for greater blood flow to the muscles and increased response of the parasympathetic nervous system among other physiological benefits and brings overall relaxing relief to the body.

Continuing her education, she is also studying Neurokinetic Therapy to provide further healing and increased function to her clients and patients.
